10+ Best WordPress Yoga Themes for Studios 2017

In this meditative round-up, we quietly ponder the best WordPress yoga themes. If you’re building a site for a yoga studio, dance studio, or health club, one of these themes will give a quick and easy starting point.  And if you’re putting together a blog to write about yoga, you still might find what you’re looking for on this list.  The Kriya theme is a popular choice for that.

When selecting these yoga themes, we prioritized design over functionality. Bold, bombastic design and colors just didn’t cut it. Soft, airy, pastel-laden designs–though perhaps a bit of a cliche– seemed to better fit the bill.  But we didn’t forget about function either. The bulk of these themes include support for timetables and event management. Those features are often essential to any professional yoga studio’s website.

If don’t see anything you like, maybe you’d prefer to check out some higher-octane styled sports and fitness themes. Check out our round-up here highlighting gym and general fitness.

Also: if you’re still on the look out for a hosting solution, Bluehost is a stress-free, inexpensive and reliable option.

Yoga fit, one of the best WordPress yoga themes

First up, we’ve got Yoga Fit. The light, airy design and pastel color scheme makes it the perfect choice for not only yoga websites, but for websites promoting meditation, dance, and fitness classes.

This theme is extremely flexible. Yoga Fit includes Visual Composer for code free layout adjustments. Also, the developers also provide a massive custom shortcodes collection.

Yoga Fit is compatible with Events Calendar. It also features Mega Menu functionality. Optimized for search engines to help you rank high in Google, the theme is 100% mobile-ready. It’s additionally retina-ready for high-resolution devices. Users can tweak the fonts and colors on the back-end.

Yoga Fit also offers a custom form builder tool.

YogaStudio is a top WordPress yoga theme, if only for the contemporary, cool design. Plenty of white space, tasteful layout choices, and classy typography add up to a professional, pleasing aesthetic.

This theme is a great match for dance studios and health clubs too. It comes with a booking calendar, Essential Grid, Slider Revolution, and Visual Composer for front-end page building. The theme is also responsive and retina-ready. (For sharp display on the high-resolution MacBooks I can’t afford.)

The theme is easy to install, run and update thanks to the one click demo installer provided. And it’s versatile, with three subtle homepage variations available to choose from,  a theme options panel, a custom widgets set, and a ton of shortcodes.

Finally, YogaStudio supports WooCommerce for selling stuff online.

Although not everyone’s cup of tea, Somnus is hands-down my personal favorite WordPress yoga theme on the list. I’m always a sucker for minimalist web design, and it’s an especially good fit when it comes to building websites for yoga, meditation, and other spiritually charged pursuits.

Another nice feature–and something I’m surprised you don’t see more often–is that the developers have included usable copy, instead of the standard placeholder text you get with many WordPress themes. This one is nearly ready to go out-of-the-box, and close to a turnkey solution. Somnus includes a timetable system too.

On the tech-end of things, Somnus is equally impressive. The UX (user experience) is top-notch, with speedy performance, smooth scrolling, and responsive/device tested semantic coding.

The flat, modern and nondescript design of Cosmedix makes it versatile enough to be used for a variety of fitness, health club, and beauty websites. It lends itself particularly well to yoga. Bright, fresh colors and lots of white space give the theme with an open, peaceful aesthetic.

This theme includes functionality for scheduling and managing classes and displaying them in a timetable. Cosmedix supports WooCommerce for setting up an online storefront.

Visual Composer and Gravity Forms are supported and included free. Also bundled: LayerSlider and Slider Revolution. Very nice.

Asana is a hit theme and an award winner.  It was once named the best sports & recreation theme on the ThemeForest marketplace. It also has the distinction of having been a featured ThemeForest item. (One suspects the two are related.) Nevertheless, the theme boasts over 1200 sales to date in only a little over a year’s time.

Asana can attribute a lot of that success to a trendy, sharp design. The developers have made awesome use of striking photography and vibrant color work. But the features are strong too. The class scheduling functionality is well implemented, and also supports Google and MINDBODY calendars.

Webmasters can also create and manage their own online shops by way of WooCommerce integration.  Asana also features events management and map support. It’s one of our favorites and worth a closer look.

We think the Kriya demo speaks for itself. The design is probably exactly what a few of our visitors will be looking for (over the “trendier” selections).

This theme is all about yoga from the ground up, and even provides details pages for different poses. Whereas many of the themes we looked at so far revolve around classes and fitness clubs, this theme is also nicely suited to blogging and informational websites.

The WooCommerce integration for e-commerce support is there, as well as the necessary functionality for managing events and workshops.
