Let’s sink our teeth into the best WordPress dental themes for 2020. If you’re a dentist or an orthodontist with a private practice, one of these themes will help you build a web presence quickly and inexpensively. If you’re a web developer looking for a theme for a client, we think you’ll find what you’re looking for here.
When selecting themes for this list, we went for industry appropriate designs developed primarily for dentistry, as opposed to general health/medical themes that would require some degree of adaptation. A couple themes, however, are multipurpose health themes that included a dental skin and impressed us enough with secondary features to warrant inclusion.
Features and design elements we kept an eye out for were service pages, team member profiles, easy to spot contact information, and appointment forms (that preferably integrated some kind of booking calendar). Photos of smiling people was a plus, while morose-looking dentists didn’t make the cut.
For the sake of brevity, and to be as hip and with-it as possible, we’ve opted to omit any themes older than a year (with a single exception, because we admired the design so much).
Finally, before we continue, here’s a quick bit of marketing. If you don’t have web hosting yet, we recommend Bluehost. You won’t find a more reliable hosting service at their price point. Unless you anticipate a lot of traffic, there’s no good reason to pay a massive monthly fee in hosting. I pay $45 for a network of sites that receive thousands of hits per month.
OK! Let’s look at some WordPress dental themes! Woooo.
Our number one spot goes to Dentalia. This relatively new entry into the WordPress dental themes market earned its place in large part for its lovely, modern, professional design. When you have been designing and reviewing WordPress themes for as long as I have, you start to notice that some themes just always look like a theme on some level. Dentalia has its own distinct feel and character.
Features include a post-type to showcase team members, a working hours widget that highlights the current day, a team carousel/grid widget, and homepage contact information. The theme supports Contact Form 7.
The theme is easy to install and set up thanks to the one- click demo importer. A visual page builder is bundled for codeless layout design. Powerful options on the back-end leave the door open for further customization of colors and fonts.

One of the best things about this WordPress dentistry theme has nothing to do with the theme itself: it introduced me to the phrase purpose oriented design. Cool. I’ll be using that again. But anyway, the point is that this theme is first and foremost a dental services theme and nothing but. The developers haven’t tried to hedge their bets or leverage their efforts by building in other industry focused homepages.
The most unique feature of this theme is the before and after gallery. An online appointment form is also wired in, as well as a careers application for reaching out to prospective, future team members. Doctor profiles are supported, and a pricing page is included. There’s even a page template that provides information to first time clients.
This an extremely well thought out and executed theme, and we think it will be the perfect match for many dental practices. Highly recommended.More Info/Download
The clean and professional design of the Dentario theme comes with three distinct homepage variations to choose from.
Visual Composer is supported for layout design, and Slider Revolution is bundled for creating engaging homepage slideshows. Further customization options are provided in the admin. Webmasters additionally can choose a one-page UX is a post the traditional multipage layout.
The theme includes a booking feature (Appointment Calendar) for making and managing appointments. The theme even supports WooCommerce for online sales of… dental stuff, I guess.
SEO optimized, performance optimized, and professionally supported and documented.More Info/Download
The team behind dental care researched dental industry and dentistry websites when developing this theme, and that time clearly paid off. Although it could technically be adapted to build other health and clinical websites, it was conceived as a dental theme from the ground up.
Beyond the clean, professional design of dental care, one of the standout features is the inclusion of the booked plug-in for managing online appointments. The services page is also impressively implemented.More Info/Download
Next we have the creatively titled Dental Care theme. Way to go, guys. It was designed with various dental services in mind. This is a straightforward, no-nonsense package and the developers have wisely kept things simple, avoiding the bloat and needless complexity that plagues many premium WordPress themes.
16 page templates are bundled, for sections highlighting services, news, and doctors/team members. A booking form allows visitors and clients to easily make appointments.
The usual premium features are included, like Visual Composer and Slider Revolution.More Info/Download
Healthflex is one of the fastest selling medical and health themes for WordPress on the ThemeForest marketplace. That’s largely due to its versatility. It includes five distinct homepages precisely tailored to five different health service scenarios: health clinics, health coaches, pediatricians, health products and, of course, dental services.
Visual Composer, WPML, WooCommerce, and contact form seven are all supported. Included shortcodes allow you to easily add price plans, introduce team members, and showcase client testimonials. Pre-designed contact and appointment forms are also provided.
It’s almost needless to say it, but Healthflex is responsive, SEO friendly, and easy to install with the one-click demo importer.More Info/Download
Released in December, Medent boasts a gorgeous, modern design, intuitive UX, and snappy performance. I recognize that this is one of those designs you often see described as “fresh”, although I’ve never been entirely sure why. I guess it’s the cool colour palette, and liberal use of white, open space. Not a bad association to have for a dentistry practice, anyway.
Page templates for services like teeth cleaning and braces are provided, as well as templates showcasing team members and pricing tables.
A solid set of secondary features, like Slider Revolution and MailChimp support, add a bit of extra value, although its hard to get too excited about the ubiquitous Visual Composer and premium slideshow plugins at this point. A page builder and theme options panel allow for code-free customizations.More Info/Download
The most striking feature of MedLab at first glance is no doubt it’s colorful, gradient homepage. It seems as though many health oriented WordPress themes tend toward cooler, blue and white color schemes, making this one a nice change of pace.
Like the Healthflex theme, this one comes with multiple homepages fine tuned to specific services, including a dental option. The developers have also included an appointment form and MailChimp integration–although it does lack calendar and team profiles.

Dental Clinic is another vibrant, eye-catching theme reminiscent of MedLab. On only the design level, it’s one of my favorites on this list.
An informative homepage puts news, service hours, and a booking form front and center. Page templates for services, team members, and special offers are included.More Info/Download
Hey, this one’s from the Mojo Marketplace. It’s also got the same name as our previous selection. To be fair, I suppose no one is immune to the demands of the Google algorithm. Anyhoo, this WordPress dental theme includes four custom post types: gallery, case studies, team, testimonials. There’s also pricing tables. It does, however, lack an appointment booking form. Nobody’s perfect. It has a cool contact page with a map, though! Worth a look.More Info/Download
A Final Note About WordPress Dental Themes
Sometimes when you can’t find what you’re looking for, and nothing seems quite right, it might be time to start considering contracting a custom design.
But that doesn’t mean you need to abandon WordPress and build from the ground up. There’s plenty of designers out there hungry for work, who will help you bring the design you’ve got in mind to life, and plenty of talented WordPress developers who will work for reasonable rates, coding that design into a theme. Just be prepared to spend a bit more than $60 dollars!
