There’s a ton of CV/Resume themes out there, which is why we won’t presume that these are objectively the best available. But we’re confident that they are at the top of the pile, and each one packages in all the functionality you need to show off your skills and portfolio in a memorable, professional way.
We picked the themes out by hand and, because the feature sets are roughly the same throughout, our decisions are based almost entirely on design quality. Is it clean, modern, pixel-perfect? Does it perform well? It makes the cut. Is it dated, sloppy, laggy? Forget about it, dude!

Some readers may be underwhelmed by the screenshot, but the Gentleman theme – and other minimalist resume/CV themes like it – are doing things right. Gentleman presents your vital information cleanly and elegantly, creating the impression of a serious, qualified professional. We’d suggest having a closer look at the demo to get the full effect. You should choose a theme like a Gentleman over extravagant, flashy themes, for the same reason you don’t print traditional resumes on colored paper, apply sparkles, and use unreadable, fancy-pants fonts.
Beyond the successful aesthetic, Gentleman is a one-page style theme, and usability is top-notch. Performance is fast and responsive, unencumbered by flashy animation and laggy jQuery gimmicks. The content-focused layout is perfectly structured and flows sensibly from one section to the next.
You probably won’t need to change much (or shouldn’t), but an options panel and Visual Composer is bundled for making code-free adjustments to layout, colors, and typography.

Next, we’ve got MD. We’ll take a guess that’s short for the Marshall Doe featured in the demo. At risk of spouting clichés, MD is a clean, ultra-professional design that sets out to do one thing and does it pretty damned well.
Site owners can choose between setting the theme up in a one page or multipage layout, and the full responsiveness means you won’t have to worry about compatibility with mobile devices new and old.
A portfolio, a twitter feed, pricing tables, and plenty of easy to use options are provided. The theme was built with Bootstrap 3, it’s cross browser compatible, and it comes with comprehensive documentation.

Don’t let the above monochrome screenshot fool you. Signature Resume is a truly awesome one page resume theme, with lots of modern visual flair, like CSS3 animations, and a professional, trendy design.
Notable secondary features include the intuitive Unyson page builder, the premium Master Slider plugin (valued a $19), and a packed options panel that lets you control nearly every part of your theme. All good things.
The code is clean, SEO optimized and Signature fully supports WPML and translation. Worth a closer look if you got some time to spare.
