In this Siteturner round-up, we look at the best & biggest multipurpose WordPress themes on the market for 2020. These are the most feature-rich WordPress themes out there, and provide the most bang-for-you-buck in the premium WordPress market. These themes are, basically, “many themes in one”.
Sometime a few years ago, in the highly competitive ThemeForest marketplace, a new type of WordPress theme started to pop up: the massive WordPress super-theme. Themes that not only included one design, with a variety of layout and color variations, but dozens of unqiue designs, each styled with specific niches and markets in mind. More than a single theme, these multipurpose WordPress themes were many-themes-in-one. And remarkably, the price stayed the same – around the $60 dollar mark – so many of these super-themes went on to slaughter the competition.
Though we often advocate for themes that prioritize simplicity and user experience over laundry-lists of features, gimmicks, and gizmos, we can’t deny the appeal these huge products hold.
Finally, if you’re starting a new site from scratch, and you’re still looking for reliable hosting, we heartily recommend Bluehost. Or maybe you’re not happy with your current host. Anyway, they’re recommended by WordPress.org too.
Alright, let’s take a look at these themes…
Possibly the most versatile theme on our list, Ultra by Themify is a testament to top-notch usability and forward-thinking. Themify are the wizards behind the popular & powerful Builder framework, one of the most popular theme frameworks on the premium WordPress market, and one of the first to embrace true drag & drop functionality.
Themify manages to find middle ground between the user-friendly, intuitive features of modern website building services like SquareSpace and the flexibility/extensibility of the WordPress platform. While the package provides priceless tools for developers, including the ability to build and edit unlimited layout variations, the team has wisely created 32+ presets targeting a variety of niches (restaurants, corporate, music, events, etc.) for users who want to get their sites up and running fast.
WooCommerce is fully supported (to complement the e-commerce presets). and a robust options panel leaves even more room open for customization. Ultra is SEO optimized and fully translatable.More Info/Download
